I asked a local councillor if the russian refinery here in Ireland should be sanctioned.
He said yes, if it was supplying Israel.
But Russia? No.

I obviously understand the emotional side. I cannot even conceive of what they are feeling.
Ultimately though crimes aren’t really about the individual. Prosecutions aren’t brought in the name of victim they are brought forward by the crown as our representative.
Even though it is callous and cold hearted the families interests are ultimately subservient to the political
