GLS popping up in Lawerence, Orange, and Daviess counties IN. In V3 to V6 corn, look for the squared off edges on the lesions and o symptoms to be on lower leaves first . @CropNetwork#grayleafspot#corn
Looking at #soybeans this week in SW IN and saw some #seedcornmaggot , typical damage and the actual insect are shown below. Usually worse in fields with manure, cover crops, or winter annual weeds. Maggots can feed up for 2 to 3 weeks and then pupate. #plant24
Checking out some early planted beans 3/28 and saw some pythium in the field. Pinched hypocotyl, thick to thin root, and hollowed out stem. In low spots that were cool and wet. #plant24#pythium#soybeans
#croptalk in soybeans today! Lots of pics this week of foliar damage…
1. Heart shape HG 15
2. C-shape on emerging trifoliates dicamba
3. Zipper shape on emerging trifoliates 2,4-D

Purple corn may not be phosphorus, lots of pictures of purple corn syndrome this week. Remember the purpling is #anthocyanin in the leaves may be indicating root restrictions for the crop or another underlying issue. #croptalk@msuagriculture
Windy day in western Kentucky! #croptalk looks at emergence issues, nodal root development, and replant in #corn! Check out some timeless information on replant decision here: https://t.co/DjPllFXhJM @msuagriculture#raceraggies
Congrats to agronomy seniors Kyle and Gracey! ASA Southern undergraduate poster contest runner up and third place posters! Both looking at fertility in soybeans and differences in absorption. Thanks to industry partners and @msuagriculture for the support! #raceraggies
#MurrayState Racer Aggie's took a trip to Irvington IL to learn from #BayerCropScience folks! It was a great and informative trip. Short stature 🌽, product development, cassette planter, UAS, data handling, and fragipan soils...shoes up! @murraystateuniv@msuagriculture
Did summer research really happen if you don't take a quick pic! Finishing up some corn sap/tissue testing, setting up the foliar feed trial, and wrapping up the greenhouse studies this week at the Murray State Farms! More results to come this fall. #raceraggies@msuagriculture
Yee haw #raceraggies harvesting some biomass samples from a study at the Pullen Farm today! Looking at crimson clover, cereal rye, balansa clover, and mixes for weed control, soil impacts, and yield impacts! Termination and #plant22 when the water turns off! @msuagriculture
More data to support that conditions are more important thant the calendar when planting corn. Kentucky Corn Planting Progress does not Explain Final Corn Yields. Thanks to @USDA_NASS for the data. https://t.co/Vo7PWeDV43 #Plant22
What a great night for #raceraggies lots of deserving students were recognized, congrats to all the recipients! A big Corny Congratulations to these young agronomists, proud of you all!🌽🌱 🐞@msuagriculture@murraystateuniv
Cold and wet conditions may have delayed burn down, but nothing like weed pressing some winter annuals to get your morning started #raceraggies identified several this morning, see any of your favorites? @msuagriculture#plant22#lateburndown22
It may be wet in W. KY but when there’s a touch of sun and good weather #raceraggies head to the Pullen Farm. Students ran the gambit identifying weeds, sweeping fields, and collecting 🐞 🐜! All in anticipation of #plant22@msuagriculture
