WHY ARE WE STRIKING? (A POETIC THREAD)

We’re striking for the child who’s in the wrong place,
Needs specialist provision, but they ain’t got the space.
For the child who’s behind and suffers with stress,
We’d offer them more, but we’re offering them less. (1/9)

@Fern_Britton My thinking has always been maybe the poor woman was feeling overwhelmed by everything: menopause, bills, family, life, everything and she needed to step out of her life for a bit. This won’t help find her and may have pushed her further away, not supportive 😢

@HelenAshby72 What about 4 and 5, quarters?

[Cropps @Cropps16]

@MoneySavingExp I’d pay the fine as I was driving but if I was the passenger I’d be offering the half towards it!

Dear @trussliz / @RishiSunak the cost of living crisis has left millions worried how they'll make ends meet.

I'd like to formally invite you, as the new PM, to join me asap once you take office for a special hour's @itvMLshow discussion/Q&A to answer/ease people's concerns.

@JuliaBradbury I played football in secondary school, in PE, with the boys - I was told to carry on playing after I left, this was 33/34 years ago! I never realised how lucky I was to have teachers who supported girls playing football! No one told me no I couldn’t! It’s taken this long!

It's a simple idea: We demand the govt scrap the energy price rises and deliver affordable energy for all. We will build a million pledges and by Oct 1st if the govt and energy companies fail to act we will cancel our direct debits. Read more here: https://t.co/NPF8VQXcHD

@KatePlym @RetirementTales @NDPlymouth I was 13 and just started a morning paper round, a milk bottle flew across the road and smashed against the shop next to my head as I climbed off my bike. I remember my dad coming in his car and helping with my round so I got home safe! Never realised how bad it was at the time!

Just to clarify in practice the £200 bill-credit 'loan' on all home elec bills in Oct.

- every bill will reduce by £200
- every bill after Apr 23 increases by £40/yr for 5yrs regardless of if you got the £200 or not.

Its a 1yr bill reduction followed by a 5yr compulsory levy.
