Today, Firefighter Barry Martin was laid to rest following a service at St Giles Cathedral in Edinburgh.

Hundreds of firefighters and members of the public lined the streets in a powerful testament to Barry's bravery and dedication.

We will never forget his sacrifice.

Firefighters line the Royal Mile in Edinburgh for the funeral of Brother Barry Martin.  

Today we mourn the loss of a dedicated member of the community and a brave firefighter. We come together in his honour.
