@jimmysergi_ This is so utterly wrong-headed a decision that it beggars belief. Safe, effective and respectful use of technology should be a key part of education, not banning a tool that many people will (and do) use as their main source of knowledge about the world.
New theory*: those who write off online teaching / learning as inherently inferior have probably not yet had a really good online learning experience. Implication: they may be less qualified to comment on the issue than others.
* actually an old theory
@Questingtime I was going to say The Great Gonzo, but if his chickens are anything like the ones from Zelda (or Kobolds ate my baby) then I'd be doomed.
'I expect that this book will be deservedly regarded as an absolutely seminal contribution to the critical literature on digital education for many years to come'.

@LizHind3 @LabourTogether @Bill_Esterson That would be going above and beyond (I like it!). Having CLP meetings that members can attend would be a big step forward.
Lovely to be able to take part in a meeting after so long and hear what's going on. Perhaps we should move things online on a more permanent basis, since more members would be able to attend than can make it to physical meetings at short notice in inaccessible locations?
Got my EDC final assignment in just in the nick of time! Why did I think setting it up as a course on Google Classroom was a good idea? Will I never learn not to over reach myself and mess about with new platforms on tight deadlines? #MScEDC
@DavidYeats3 @mwolfindale It's been a weird and stressful end to the course, because of world events, but I think it's been one of the most interesting things I've ever taken part in. Definitely proves a lot of the Community Cultures content. Amazing group of people involved in this :)
