@KJF239 2/2 the rest of it I link to bacterial growth, what do they need, how can we culture them ( link to aseptic technique from module 4) and fermenters. This naturally leads to batch and continuous culture- how and why to keep them in the log phase etc
@KJF239 1/2 The part around using microbes to produce food etc is just a list and mainly common sense that links with knowledge from GCSE. I normally just brainstorm what they know already and then give them notes - tedious but there was a 6 marker on this a few years ago.
@Miss_Crofts@leysbiotutor Great work! I would also add to the compare statement that it is often used to pair your statements and use words like highest/ higher/ quicker etc if comparing data
@KJF239 I go to the fishmonger and get whatever medium fish they have that are the cheapest, and then ask if they have any discarded salmon heads they are throwing away. I’ve often been given 2 or 3 for free!
