Does anyone know anyone in this photo or more about the society? it's for the Kimmage & District Co-operative Society whose premises was located at 31 Captains Road (possibly now 31 Ravensdale Park).
@DCLAReadingRoom @nliireland
@fallon_donal Absolutely agree. Our volunteer group built an interactive map of notable people in our area — on a €0 budget.
Funding received this year - €0.
The ideas, skills, and passion are there in local heritage groups. What’s missing is support and funds.

Today is the 50th anniversary of the death of James Scully (1909 – 1974) whose valorous actions during World War II earned him the George Cross. He was one of the first Catholic to receive the award and has his heroics were celebrated in The Hornet comic. https://t.co/9lSaQ1It2c
