Former Senator Antonio “Sonny” Trillianes IV on Thursday filed a cyber libel complaint before the Department of Justice against former Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano, Senator Rodante Marcoleta, and the 18 “ex-Marines” over the June 4 Senate hearing.
In the complaint, Trillianes said the 18 individuals who introduced themselves as former Marines “clearly conspired and confederated” with Cayetano and Marcoleta in “executing a clearly malicious and dubious” joint sworn affidavit.
He alleged that they also conspired to attend the controversial hearing, “boosting each other’s claims, goading each to speak, propounding leading questions and supporting each other’s lies.”
This is Trillianes’ third time filing a complaint against the 18 “ex-Marines” who alleged that he had delivered bribe money to the International Criminal Court. However, this is the first time he named Cayetano and Marcoleta as respondents. | via @beypinlac

Dami po nabudol Sen @TrillanesSonny . Mayaman man o mahirap, edukado man o hindi, pati ilang media.

‘THE FILIPINO IS WORTH FIGHTING FOR’
On the fifth death anniversary of former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III, we honor his enduring call to value, protect, and stand for the Filipino people.
This was taken on 15 August 2009 when the Black & White Movement asked @noynoyaquino to run for president. Thankfully, he listened. He won. He changed so many lives by doing so much good. Like his mom, Tita Cory, PNoy served with all his heart. Thank you, boss, always.

Akbayan Party today slammed Senator Robin Padilla’s push to lower the age of criminal responsibility from 15 to 10 in the wake of the Tacloban school shooting, accusing him of exploiting a tragedy to advance a misguided proposal.
Anong klaseng pag-iisip yan?” David said.
David said that jailing children who are too young and who cannot fully grasp right from wrong is not rehabilitation. How much more children, whose minds are still developing?”
Akbayan stressed that Padilla’s proposal rests on a false premise. “Nabasa na ba ni Robin ang batas? The Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act holds minors who commit crimes, especially heinous ones, accountable. In fact, minors aged 15 and above may be held criminally liable if proven to have acted with discernment, while those below 15 can be deprived of liberty as they undergo intensive intervention and rehabilitation programs,” David said.
Akbayan said it stands with victims and their families, but warned against exploiting public grief to justify draconian policies that could make schools and communities more unsafe. “We are one with the call for justice and accountability. At the same time, we push for the full funding and implementation of the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act so effective intervention, mental health support, quality education, and social services are in place. Children must also be kept away from dangerous weapons such as firearms, and parents must be held equally accountable for ensuring proper care and supervision, to prevent violence before it happens.” David said.

Most of us think that when we feel broken, lost, or hopeless, everything is falling apart.
But often, those are the very moments when God meets us and reminds us that He alone is able to heal, restore, and hold our lives together.

Galawang sindikato!
