Met amazing people at my first #3DEM@GRC this week!
For those who missed #3DEM, I am pleased to announce that I will be joining @Princeton@PrincetonMolBio in just 2 months as a core manager to lead the cryoEM efforts. Stay tuned for great science to come! #CryoEM#Teamtomo
@ChargePointnet, I wasted over 3 hours this week waiting for service to pick up the phone. First, I waited 45 min for them to not help me. Then, I waited 30 min to schedule a callback that never happened. Tonight, i waited 75 min on the line... horrible service.
@vikasnavaratna In grad school, we had made up new names for additional days when we didn't take time off during the weekend ๐ . Just as if the week kept on going.
@klausenhauser@IainWil92988866 When parties focus so much about playing the game and cheat as much as possible instead of having a good plan for fixing the issues.
@LanderLab@Bex_16 @GrigorieffLab @cryosparc I already pulled it out of the archive to add it in https://t.co/pSGePycEtH. Ice thickness and tilt will be nice additions!
@Nexperion@sonjawelsch It's been working quite weel on Arctica and Krios G3/G4 on Win7 and Win10.
I still left the option to disable the aperture commands in case of problems or for older scopes that don't have these options.
#CryoEM SmartScope v0.9.2 is out!
Here are a few upgrades:
- Aperture Control w/ SerialEM 4.1-beta @Nexperion
- Great progress on CryoARM support.
- More flexibility about data storage locations.
- Easier installation procedure.

I received a broken litre of hot sauce from @Walmart and other items that got ruined during shipping
No offer to reship nor honor the prices at the time of purchase
They offered a refund- that's it

Wouldn't have happened @Target
@ATinyGreenCell I don't think Bluetooth is a good protocol to dive into if your controller has WiFi. You'll have access to many more protocols for moving the data around.
From having first-hand experience with this software, it is incredible.
The tomo part particularly, fills a gap in the field. Never build a tomogram manually again.
And for SPA preprocessing, you can't get faster than this with parallelization up to your cluster limits.
Out today from the Bartesaghi lab! nextPYP is a turn-key framework for single-particle cryo-ET that streamlines complex data analysis pipelines, from pre-processing of tilt series to high-resolution refinement, for efficient analysis of large datasets. https://t.co/ot2wR3wbFO
@tiangolo@ThePSF@jetbrains@FastAPI I use Django and at this point, I'm too far in to switch. However, I've been playing with fastAPI on the side and getting ready for my next projects
