I'm pleased to share our work on cryo-STET imaging of stalled mitochondrial fission. Contributions from a great team of EM-Unit@ @WeizmannScience: @ShaLGW, Neta Varsano, Tali Dadosh, and help from @Nexperion, and Michael Elbaum. https://t.co/vE2WxLODri #TeamTomo#mitochondria
No more excuses for losing essential #SerialEM configuration files - a video tutorial explaining file types, backup and restore strategies is now online at https://t.co/12bsa2sVIY
The first of a series of new #SerialEM tutorial videos is online - Autocontouring of Grid Squares. Let us know what you think and what topics you would like to see covered in the future! https://t.co/cxuIytWTg4
@AdrianoAguzzi True, and I also considered the "Ordentlicher Professor" in Austria quite confusing. Was there ever any "Unordentlicher Professor"?!? 😂 And honestly, "Außerordentlicher Professor" (= no chair) always sounded more fancy to me...
@WimJHH @RubinsteinJohn @electronimus As an EM-baby, I was working on an EM-10A. On time, the room lights were shining into the projection chamber, I was fascinatedly watching the film being transported in/out of exposure position. Still thought by myself "wow, never noticed that before" until it dawned on me... 😵💫
Last week's release of #SerialEM beta testing introduces "Multiple Grid Ops", an interface to auto acquire grid maps, square maps, and final data from multiple grids in a row using @thermosciEMSpec /@JEOLUSA autoloaders.
@sonjawelsch@tofayel_ahmed1@DAEIndia Grandpa certainly had a mind of its own when it came to rotations... but identifying/eliminating issues like this is exactly why a functional model was built before the EM GP
Could one of my friends using #SerialEM share a full grid montage of a "typical" cryo SPA grid (including broken squares, thick ice, thin ice, ...). I'd need the nav and the mrc file to run some tests ...
@DaniBeckman When I was managing an EM Facility, I sometimes found an empty petridish on my desk - time to harvest eyelashes. At that time, I was the only guy in the team, making me the obvious victim, ready to give it all for science... and sections!
