I sympathize with $BTC Maxis to an extent, I started mining Bitcoin in 2011 when it was $7 so I have heard of every "new/next" Bitcoin since then.

However, gotta be careful not to paint yourself into a corner with "Boy who cried Wolf" syndrome - eventually, someone is going to be telling the truth, in this case its $KAS - Not that it will replace or is the next or new $BTC, it simply finishes what Satoshi started - Orange is great for Digital Gold, Store of Value, first mover advantage, ETF exposure, brand recognition.

Orange sucks, however, at actually transacting.

Therefore simultaneous 100ms blocks decentralized Nakamoto consensus opens up new possibilities for DLTs that $BTC will never learn, its impossible.

Instead of a bus coming once every 10 mins to pick up transactions, $KAS has 10 Ubers taking Tx's every second - its simply progress of technology that open minded people embrace.

ETH is at $3,000. Surely this must mean that a ton of people are using ETH, and that this number is only going up, right?

Nope.

Eth, the chain has dropped from 120K active daily users in 2021, to just 66K over the last year.

The top app, Uniswap V3 is only getting 16K DAUs. I remember, back in 2020 this number was 60K or more.

It's definitely the case the ETH as a chain is no longer used directly.

Of course, that doesn't stop investors from bidding it up to a $361 Billion dollar market cap. It really has become a type of meme coin, similar to Shiba Inu.

It's not particularily cheap ($1.50 per transaction), or fast. If you are just interested in reward points for games, or casino-style DeFi apps -- Solana, Avalanche, Near etc.. all crush it.

It's not just over-valued. It's in a massively competitive space, with very few actual users, and zero shot of actually competing with Bitcoin as a store of value.

Finally, I don't think Gensler is going to allow an ETH ETF. If you believe in the Tooth Fairy, have fun. I just don't think Gary wants to make his second ETF a massive pre-mine. Sets a very bad precedent.

Avoid ETH at all costs.
