Your entire life will be summarized into a 500 to 1500 word eulogy read by someone else.
That thing you’re worried about probably doesn’t matter.
Since the end is the same no matter what, you might as well make it interesting for yourself and go for it.
When you die, your life will be summarized into facts about your early life, 1–3 short anecdotes showing your qualities, what you meant to others, and who you’re survived by.
Whatever you’re stressed about today won’t make the list.
Personal observation:
You get absolutely better returns at the top ends of achievement because oftentimes assets pool to the winners.
The problem is to achieve the highest levels you have to give up proportional amounts of the things you hoped the achievements would get you.
