@csuwildcat Gates pretends he knows something about public health and doesn't. Jobs thought he was above a normal dietician's recommendations on dealing with cancer. Billionaires are egomaniacs. Fanboys are willfully ignorant to remain "in" with the cult of personality.
@csuwildcat Pretty sure the realization you just had applies to most CEOs their job is to synthesize information so the masses can get excited and follow. Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos - all businessmen applying the work of engineers. Musk is no different.
@notsofast TOO REAL. Still don't understand why I didn't cash out my bonuses after working with them for 2 years and instead sat on them such that they've collapsed below the USD value of the bonus I paid taxes on in each of those years.
@notsofast Reminds me of the time I invited him on for 15 minutes, sent him questions ahead of time, and we ended up with an hour of not addressing any of those questions.

Does this mean #Bitcoin has no use? I think $BTC has a purpose, but as of now, haven't heard a single person at #BitcoinMiami pinpoint what's on my mind. They're just oozing hubris saying KYC should be optional or Bitcoin is easier to access than dollars. Pretty amateur, honestly
The #Bitcoin2021 folks keep talking financial inclusion:
BTC subdivides to 0.0000001 but smallest amount you can send is 0.0000546 BTC.
If #BTC = $1 million, the min transaction is $54.60.
How does that work on $2 per day in rural Asia/Africa/S America? https://t.co/RWKhHXUj8a
"There's lightning network!" someone shouts from the depths of a lightning channel with unused sats/fractions of a Bitcoin stuck on it. And therein dies the argument that Bitcoin itself can directly bank any unbanked population.
@jeffjohnroberts@decryptmedia I mean, groups like @isostandards TC307 and @ITU Study Groups are already doing this with government and corporate input. I edited the working group version of this document with ITU and it was recently adopted by Study Group as a Recommendation:

Good question. The replies perfectly display how badly better education resources are needed for Bitcoin. From some who think #Bitcoin has no transparency (it's open source code!!), to others who think you need 3rd party service to transfer it(it's p2p!). Lots of learning needed.
Big deal for #Bitcoin adoption, folks.
@Paypal announced plans to allow withdrawals to external wallets only 7 months after adding support for cryptocurrencies!! For reference, @RobinhoodApp started crypto in 2018- STILL doesn't allow these withdrawals.

Paypal currently is the same but now they want to allow you to be able to buy your gold from them, store it there, but ALSO to withdraw the gold itself and store it wherever you see fit -except we're talking crypto like #BTC#ETH. Mainstream adoption keeps getting easier.

Why withdraw #cryptocurrencies to external wallets?
A simplified comparison: What Robinhood does is like buying gold at a bank but they hold the actual gold. You just have price exposure. To move it elsewhere, you'd have to sell in app and rebuy it in the new location...
