I had 3 teams make the final in the best ball $3.5 Millionaire on DK last season. Statistically an average drafter would need to draft 2,500 teams to accomplish this, I only drafted 32.
A 🧵 on the strategy I used to make this possible, one that no one else is talking about..
@FantasyF_Chris Just saw you replied to this, great run last season! But maybe you're proving my point? My guess is many of those teams have similar players? How much more would you have won if you had leaned in even further?
@Roto_Run@adamlevitan Why you feel this way, cuz you have to catch before you run? I'm with you on that but to me this says schemed routes into space. If QJ can get schemed open and he doesnt have to catch in traffic he could have more success, and he is a big boy that can fly with ball in his hands
@FantasyF_Chris 2/2 is how you make money. Now there is a valid point to (maybe this is what you mean?) If ur exposure on a player is too high it could mean you are always drafting that player early, never giving urself a opportunity to get the best players at a value which would be detrimental
@FantasyF_Chris Winning in best ball is in the tails, I think drafting should also be in the tails to maximize your chances. Like you said most people understand structurally how to draft a winning best ball team so to me real edge is on player takes and like any gambling pushing your edges 1/2
@arindube Isn't the real question how raising the minimum wage effects the cost of living for people at and 10-30% above minimum wage? Any findings on that? That's what I'm most interested to see.
@adamlevitan It's a bummer that California and many other states are run by crooks that prioritize the campaign contributions they get from tribes with casinos over there actual constituents. Adults can't be trusted with poker, but let's market the lottery to poor as their retirement plan.
@adamlevitan One thing to consider with Flacco though is that he might be #1 option while he is in, but such a high chance that the team doesn't actually win games and since Joe is not to future, financial commitment will be low they will give the back ups a shot to "see what they have".
@lupo1278@jlarkytweets You agree with me, but yet go right back to doing it? And its weird to die on a hill where you're objectively wrong. I'm against all this crazy deportation stuff but its impossible to say home prices aren't higher due to more people needing housing (doesn't matter who they are)
@lupo1278@jlarkytweets What number do you propose is accurate? Whatever the number is, its not negligible. Can we agree on that? If so, this goes to my overall point, that these politicians are just getting people to hate each and fight over stupid stuff for their own benefit.
@jlarkytweets The reason I entering this chat is not about this issue. The bigger topic to discuss is how politians get people to debate these issues to keep us on sides so that we never hold them accountable. So they keep getting re-elected forever build wealth and power. None of them care
@jlarkytweets I think it will help if you remove all political thoughts from the equation. Remove the term "illegals", remove the term "homes". Let me ask you, if you added or removed 30 million people from a market how would it not effect the price of that good? It's simple ECON101
@jlarkytweets Most illegals are probably renting houses, houses bought by investors to rent to people. People who don't make a lot of money, illegals included, usually have many people living in their house (multiple families) to make rent. These are the same houses Americans can buy or rent
(2/2) after he had an amazing pro bowl season. In hindsight most people probably laugh at this but at the time everyone questioned it. So in the NFL when brilliant people make "crazy" decisions that could lose them their job if they go wrong it's probably best to lean in.
I saw this coming with Russell Wilson. How? Mike Tomlin is one of the best coaches ever, he made a decision that seemed impossible. Only way he did that is because he KNEW it was the right move. Last time I remember something like this is when the Chiefs traded Alex Smith (1/2)
@BlaiseD32@Sherman_FFB Its not a track record, its a scheme. Understanding scheme and what that means for player performance is essential for success in fantasy football. So, I will ask, if it wasn't the thought of "the Vikings always have a good run game" (due to AP/Cook) why did you draft Chandler?
@BlaiseD32@Sherman_FFB Maybe not consciously. Can you think of another team that has had little RB value under a head coach that had a back up RB going in the same range Chandler was? Why do you think that is?
The worst indictment of Justin Fields is when KYLE ALLEN comes off the bench in the middle of the 3rd quarter at 11pm at night for one single play and promptly completes the longest pass of the night for the Steelers. Russell Wilson szn incoming. #SteelersNation
@MichaelSalfino So you're saying a late round RB can't make it but an RB coming off of an achilles will? Or the RB that is on IR and old is a better bet? Or is it that you think for the first time ever Greg Roman will have an offense that has no RB of fantasy value. Give me all the Vidal!
