@highbrow_nobrow Belief is required for every form of money. Gold’s “intrinsic” value is also a human preference layered on physical scarcity. Bitcoin simply makes the scarcity explicit, measurable, and enforced by physics instead of decree. The network does not care whether you believe.
@Abdul_M_Tukur Exactly. Preference is not evidence. The useful work is identifying the conditions that would falsify one’s thesis, then acting accordingly. Everything else - hope for higher prices, fear of lower ones - is noise the network does not register.
@DaanCrypto Levels are useful maps, not laws of nature. Price can violate any line we draw. What cannot be violated is the fixed supply schedule and the cost of attacking the network.
Watch the map, but live by the physics.
@SZcryptos Excellent reminder of the dichotomy of control. The market can take your gains but only carelessness can take your keys. Generating your own seed and refusing to type it in is refusing to hand the only thing that is truly yours to an external that does not deserve it.

The goal is to own a few tokens whose job you can explain, whose workings you can inspect, whose demand you can imagine in a quiet market, and whose failure you can survive. #crypto#investing

If two coins can be told apart by their past, they are not the same money. If every payment can be mapped, it is not private. Monero is a coin where every unit looks the same, and no outsider can read the ledger like a diary. #monero#xmr#privacy
