So a cost comparison per 100kms
EV - $8.14c per 100kms
Diesel - $25.30c per 100kms
Petrol - $15.20c per 100kms
Its not even debatable...
EVs at current market prices for fuel/electricity are cheaper to run.
The power delivery also puts everyday ICE vehicles to shame.

Here' a fuel to kW cost comparison;
An EV I drive uses roughly 22kw/100km
A diesel ute i drive uses roughly 11L/100km
A petrol SUV i drive uses roughly 8L/100km.
Electricity cost - $0.37c/kW
Diesel cost - $2.30c/L
Petrol cost - $1.90c/L
@Stradero2005@lazyvibecoderx@El_FreedomFairy This guy gets it, EVs are useless in rural Australia.
Admiitedaly bought my mother one last year (she lives close to the suburbs), the ev is great for short drives, but when you drive 900kms for works it really only works with phevs, but their fuel consumption isn't the best
Albo will launch a 'fuel police hotline' sooner than he will launch a royal commission into the NDIS.
We all know the playbook.
Fear sells.
He will make you blame your neighbour for storing too much fuel.
Then he will make you blame anyone using too much energy at all.
Don't travel, don't eat meat, don't shower too long with hot water, don't turn on your lights after 8pm.
Make sure you get your 15th booster shot, wear a mask, eat the bugs, and ride your electric scooter 4 hours to work everyday before you get fired and replaced by AI.
It's okay though, 1 bedroom dogboxes will sell for $2.3m after this energy crisis is over, due to all the fake fiat currency they will have to print, which will mean the politicians who 'serve' you, and just happen to own infinity properties, will make even more money.
You will live in a tent, you will own nothing, and you will be happy.
The problem is not your fellow Australian citizens, the problem is the government - it always has been.
