🚨 HISTORISCH WANKEL: Kabinet-Jetten heeft maar 66 zetels. Niemand koos voor Kabinet Jatten:
- Pensioenleeftijd omhoog
- Eigen risico omhoog
- Afstraffen van alle beleggers en spaarders
- 36% Belasting op ongerealiseerde winst met desastreuze gevolgen voor de economie, investeringsklimaat en kapitaalvlucht.
- Alle werkers in Nederland nog meer belasten
- Hoogste benzine prijzen van Europa
- 0,0003°C wereldwijde opwarming bestrijden
- Verhogen belasting op gas
- Streep zetten door de wet die voorrang voor statushouders op sociale huurwoningen moest stoppen.
- Geen geld om kapotte snelweg te repareren: delen A4 al dagen dicht.

Nog nooit was het zo makkelijk om een kabinet te laten vallen. Een motie van wantrouwen (76 stemmen) en het is game over. Geen coalitiebreuk nodig. De oppositie kan het morgen regelen. Je kunt er oneindig veel indienen. Dit kabinet is een minderheidskabinet zonder gedoogsteun, en het zwakste ooit. Laten we het Manifesteren.

Bonus: Bij een val van kabinet Jetten is de kans dat Box 3 2028 gewoon doorgaat miniem. Het wordt bijna altijd geparkeerd of ingetrokken. Minimaal uitstel tot 2029. Maximaal, wetsvoorstel wordt verworpen en wordt direct vervangen door vermogenswinstbelasting.

Ripple is dropping our cross appeal, and the SEC is expected to drop their appeal, as they’ve previously said. We’re closing this chapter once and for all, and focusing on what’s most important – building the Internet of Value. Lock in.

The final crossing of t’s and dotting of i’s – and what should be my last update on SEC v Ripple ever…

Last week, the SEC agreed to drop its appeal without conditions. @Ripple has now agreed to drop its cross-appeal. The SEC will keep $50M of the $125M fine (already in an interest-bearing escrow in cash), with the balance returned to Ripple. The agency will also ask the Court to lift the standard injunction that was imposed earlier at the SEC’s request. All subject to Commission vote, drafting of final documents and usual court processes.

🚨BREAKING: Judge Torres has ruled that @Ripple shall pay $125M in civil penalties and stop any further violations of securities laws, putting an end to the nearly four-year legal battle it fought with the @SECGov.

The SEC had initially requested a penalty of $2B from Ripple.
