Texas is becoming the center of the AI power race as $CIFR, $CORZ, $GLXY, $HUT, $IREN and $RIOT stack up HPC capacity across the state.
Now the race is who can turn those megawatts into AI revenue first.

some thoughts on the sentiment around crypto
first, the AI comparisons seem silly in the grand scheme unless your time horizon was 3 years
people have been working to make AI a thing for many decades, and scalable crypto didn't exist until 3 years ago
not to mention, AI will aid crypto as AI excels in aiding software + math based systems
(upgrading monetary systems is also a much longer process than upgrading software systems)
second, speculation is innate in all humans and has been for centuries
since speculation will never go away, neither will crypto
class inequality rises -> more speculation and more opportunity to make it on a globally accessible permisionless economic computer
or... class inequality reduces due to socialism barriers and state controls -> then you again need crypto against the barriers
there is no world in which crypto does not keep growing
the only questions that remained were i) is there potential beyond speculation? ii) will these things scale or will they remain slow databases? iii) can they become serious enough to break a trillion in mcap? iv) will governments allow it?
those have been answered positively with stablecoins, solana, bitcoin, and recent regulations
there remains tremendous work to be done on the frontiers for ownership, security, privacy, integrations, and legislation
you should be happy that there are still many problems to solve otherwise there'd be no opportunity nor any fun
I am tremendously long crypto
Cloudflare just made it possible to charge AI agents to access your site.
Sounds small, but it's not.
It's the start of an internet where agents are the customers and websites are the resources they pay to use.

In the next year, AI will be smarter than all of us.
There'll be outliers of course… Some people will still be ahead in specific corners, because our thinking is strange in ways models can’t reproduce. We're messy compute and occasionally we'll lands somewhere a machine can't. But these are exceptions.
The Exponential Age is hitting the steep part of its curve and you can already see it.
Take Anthropic for eg. Their revenue is scaling beyond Metcalfe’s Law into Reed's Law, making it the fastest growing revenue line of any company in human history. Ludicrous when you think about it.
And it won't stop with one company. Every one of these curves feeds the next, and all of them together bend the Exponential Age into the Economic Singularity. Intelligence compounds, capital reallocates, and the system starts running at a tempo we can't even process.
We ran DeepSeek V4 Flash through 4 more agent harnesses (Hermes Agent, Pi Agent, Prime Agent, Deep Agents) on 30 challenging agentic tasks.
Pi Agent was the cheapest harness and passed the most tasks 🧵🧵
The Chinese just made a one billion agent simulation — and in 14 hours of running it, they’ve already sent 4m agents to re-education camps! 🥁
Seriously, we will soon be able to create an AI simulation of planet Earth in which the agents are conscious, believe they are human, and won't know they are in a simulation.
Take from that what you will!
The next phase is where this really takes off.
Agents are semi-autonomous now, doing what you tell them to, more or less.
But the next version of them is where it gets wild… they'll allocate their own capital and decide for themselves what to build. You’ll hand your head-agent some capital and say "make me rich in ten years." Off it goes.
How do you even prepare for that? There's no playbook for a world where the smartest capital allocators are machines that never sleep and answer to no one.
Fucking mental when you take that in.
That's exactly why I wrote my Economic Singularity framework in the first place… so we can see the shape of this before it spreads out.
You may think the agentic economy has nothing to do with you. It looks like just machines doing their own thing. But the fabric of our world is about to change… jobs, money, businesses, assets, all of it.
Introducing Kitesurf: a browser built for agents, running entirely on Cloudflare Workers.
Chromium is too heavy to hand every agent one. Kitesurf is written in Rust, uses 3-7x less CPU and memory, and spins up per request.

DeFi will become far more important than most people realise. And not because more people start using it. Because the users stop being people at all.
When you think about it DeFi is actually better suited to machines than it is to us. An agent doesn't need a website, or buttons, or a front end. You can strip all of it away and just let the agent plug straight into the protocol, do the job, and leave.
Now play it forward… An AI agent taking out a flash loan at 3 am, another paying half a cent for a bit of data to a different agent, and one moving its treasury across three chains in a second because a swap suddenly got cheaper somewhere.
Genuinely hard to wrap your head around… but this is the user base DeFi ends up serving.
This is the Economic Singularity I've been telling you about at the ground level, where the financial system is being rebuilt for users with no faces, no emotions, and no need for downtime.
x402 catalysts are quietly intensifying
Cloudflare just announced x402-enabled agentic wallets/identity system (programmatic x402/stablecoin wallet for agents)
+ They also announced Monetization Gateway last month, enabling ~20% of the internet's websites to sell agents via x402
The COOLEST signal is that the x402 standard has expanded beyond CT
Linux Foundation became the x402 governing body in place of Coinbase, creating a much stronger neutrality/legitimacy
+ These developments are happening on top of AWS, Google, Stripe integrating their support for x402 settlement layer
x402 demand is still small BUT the standard has garnered lots of support from big tech
Infra is shipping way ahead of demand
BUT once demand shows up, it'll show up at scale
(similar to the stablecoin adoption)
Bitcoin Red Team update: we've grown to 16 globally distributed people working 24/7
We're running a large-scale ecosystem security audit across bitcoin code bases.
27.5 hours in, we've filed 4,962 findings across 390 projects. 85 critical and 635 high severity issues.
We're at 2.31 h+c findings per person per hour
Tomorrow will be my last day at Google after 27 years, and watching it grow from 25 people to 190,000+ has been an amazing journey. Below is a note I shared with many people internally at Google today. An excerpt is:
It has been an absolute pleasure to work with you and to help build some of the most widely used and impactful products of all time. As a kid, I dreamed of helping build software that would be used by many people, and Google now has thirteen products used by more than a billion people (amazing!). Our work has had a tremendous impact in the world, and I have been lucky enough to collaborate and form friendships with many colleagues that I deeply admire, respect, and enjoy. It still brings me joy every time I see people out in the world using our products to find information, handle email, translate documents, watch videos, learn new things, navigate and understand the physical world, browse the web, use their phone, run large-scale computations on our infrastructure, ride in an autonomous vehicle, or perform complex tasks with the help of our AI systems. I hope you all share this sense of joy, because it is a shared accomplishment! Thank you to all of my colleagues at Google over many years!
Now I'm excited to go start @DiscoLoopAI with my longtime friends and colleagues @Sanjay_Ghemawat, @OriolVinyalsML, and @quocleix.
(Updated post: slightly redacted to not have some personal info)
Announcing Discovery Loop!
I am very excited to announce that, along with my longtime friends and collaborators @Sanjay_Ghemawat, @OriolVinyalsML and @quocleix, we are founding Discovery Loop (@DiscoLoopAI), a Public Benefit Corporation whose mission is to automate machine learning, science, and engineering to accelerate discoveries and progress. The four of us have worked together for 14 to 30 years, and have helped build some of the world’s most used products, infrastructure and AI models, and we’re excited to turn our attention to this ambitious endeavor.

Billions of AI agents are about to start transacting millions of times a second.
They can't use a bank... so the whole machine economy will settle on crypto rails instead.
