The Road to Hong Kong starts in Brazil π§π·ππ°
At Digital Assets Conference Brazil, we captured the people, capital and infrastructure connecting Latin America with Asiaβs digital asset economy.
This is The Brasil Connection, the opening story on our journey to Cosmoverse Hong Kong.
From Neutron to Circleβs Arc.
Ethan Buchman told me Cycles had rewritten its stack for EVM and was moving to a new chain.
Today, we know which one: Cycles Pay is live on @Arc mainnet from day one.
Hereβs what @buchmanster said before the announcement:
Cycles Pay is now officially running on @arc mainnet.
This is the first application built on top of the Cycles protocol, a privacy-preserving clearing algorithm that finds loops of mutual debt and settles them without altering what each party is owed on net.

We already have a web app and a mobile app, and weβve already added support for both businesses and individuals.
Perhaps more importantly, it has a combination of features no one else in the industry has built yet: private stablecoin payments, earn vaults, invoicing, expense splitting and AI assistants.
And weβre working on adding invoice financing, credit scores, balance lending, and rotating savings groups with the ultimate goal of becoming the first on-chain credit bureau to deliver credit scores based on real payment history and active payment obligations.
@arc is the foundation. We chose it because it is designed for payments with USDC as gas, sub-second finality, and reliable global infrastructure.

I've been deep Cosmos for 5+ years.
Sad to see the ecosystem collapsed the way it did, but the strategic focus of Cosmos Labs is purely on institutions, so it came with a massive tradeoff.
I continue observing where it's going and still (maybe naively) believe there is always a path for recovery. A lot has crashed and burnt, and it's not been easy to sustain.
Many projects, validators, developers have surrendered, exited or migrated to other ecosystems (mostly Solana + Zcash).
The latest Cosmos EVM vulnerability is bad. Not only because it exposes technological- but also coordination issues.
In my latest video (which I've recorded before the Cosmos EVM story unfolded), I reflect a bit on that journey and what might come next.
In my view, one "positive" side effect of the brutal past 12+ months for large parts of the industry is that everyone is forced to generate revenue, otherwise we'll be washed out.
Some raw thoughts after 5+ years deep in Cosmos.
Either way, we'll run it back inshallah
