@undisclosed0x Atom and Osmo are both bad assets to use to mint USK due to the staking yield that is given up. We need LS assets and other stables (preferably native to cosmos) for collateral.

@proofstake There was a proposal way before the events in May to reduce ust incentives to zero given the risks involved. Osmosis governance rejected it. Collateral damage from the implosion of terra was mostly due to no other viable stablecoins being around in cosmos at the time.

@arthuryeti Doesn't interchain accounts / queries eventually fix this? In the meantime it's not that complicated, I ping tokens across cosmos chains on a daily basis and it usually takes less than a minute for them to arrive on the destination chain.
