Markets aren’t random.
Smart money moves based on liquidity.
Liquidity = where orders stack, especially stops & pending entries. Think of a sweep like a trap:
Retail traders get stopped out → smart money fills big orders → then price flips.
In contrast, a Liquidity Run is trend-friendly.
Price moves into high-liquidity zones and keeps going ... breaking structure and confirming trend direction.
Key levels matter ....equal highs/lows, previous swing points, and high-liquidity zones are where these events unfold. Recognizing how price reacts tells you whether it’s a sweep or a run.
Sweep vs Run
Price essentially does two things:
1. Seeks liquidity
2. Delivers imbalance (FVG)
When price is trending, it consistently offers Fair Value Gaps (FVGs), showing momentum and intent to continue in that direction.
@CRT_femme It goes up for two reasons. 1. The fvg created below was tested and wicked gathering liquidity and 2. There are stop losses at the inducement above.
