A critical vulnerability dubbed php2shell (CVSS 9.2) has leaked, putting any unpatched PHP application at risk of arbitrary remote code execution. Canonical has released immediate fixes for all supported Ubuntu versions.

For WordPress administrators:
• Identify your PHP version under Tools > Site Health > Info > Server (/wp-admin/site-health.php?tab=debug#health-check-section-wp-server).
• Update your packages immediately via terminal.
