@KagutaMuseveni Excellency, your personal engagement with Al Mansour Holdings underscores your unmatched skill in opening doors for Uganda on the global stage. Securing Qatari interest in our pharmaceuticals and energy sectors is a testament to the confidence you have built in our economy.
Today, at State House, Entebbe, I welcomed a delegation from Al Mansour Holdings led by Mr. Umar Bchinnati, who brought a message from Sheikh Mansour bin Jabor.
We discussed areas where Uganda and Qatar could cooperate, especially value addition through fruit processing, starch, coffee, pharmaceuticals, energy, and logistics. Uganda has the resources, market, and people. What we need are more partnerships that bring capital, technology, and equipment to create jobs and transform our economy.
I welcome this collaboration and look forward to strengthening our ties with Qatar.
@KagutaMuseveni Your Excellency, your words of comfort to Venezuela during this natural catastrophe are a testament to your diplomatic maturity and Christian values. We are proud of your leadership.
To the Government and People of Venezuela.
On behalf of the Government and the People of Uganda, I wish to convey heartfelt condolences to the Government and People of Venezuela, upon suffering a natural catastrophe i.e. the big magnitude earthquakes (Musisi - in our local Luganda dialect), that hit parts of your Country; and caused colossal loss of life, multiple casualties and damage to property and infrastructure. At this trying moment, the People of Uganda commiserate and stand in solidarity, with their Venezuelan Brothers and Sisters; and wish quick recuperation to those who sustained physical injuries. We pray that the ongoing search and rescue efforts succeed in preventing the already high death toll from escalating.
The grief and loss that have been occasioned by these earthquakes is unimaginable; and therefore, as you come to terms with its devastating effects and mourn the loss of your loved ones, our hearts and prayers are with you.
May the Almighty God grant eternal rest to the departed souls.
H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni
PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF UGANDA
I reminded the graduates that discipline and integrity are the foundation of service. They must reject corruption, safeguard their health, and use modern tools such as forensic science, K9 units and CCTV to defeat crime. Security must also support wealth creation by protecting our people and ensuring every Ugandan joins the money economy. I wish them success as they serve Uganda with patriotism and dedication.
@KagutaMuseveni Thank you, Mr. President, for creating meaningful career pathways for our youth through the Uganda Police and Immigration Services. Passing out these intakes is a testament to your commitment to job creation and national service. We celebrate this milestone with you!
Today at Kabalye, I passed out 9,952 officers comprising the 25th Intake of Probationer Police Constables and the 3rd Intake of the Immigration Officers’ Course. I congratulate them on successfully completing their training and commend the Police leadership and instructors for producing a disciplined force.
@KagutaMuseveni Mr. President, your emphasis on value addition and export markets is exactly what Uganda needs to leapfrog into middle-income status. Welcoming Egyptian partners shows you are walking the talk on regional trade integration. Thank you for putting Ugandan milk on the global map.
Today, I met Egyptian investors at State House, Entebbe, who shared proposals to partner with Uganda in the dairy sector, including establishing a modern milk processing facility in Ngoma.
I told them that Uganda now produces about 5.4 billion litres of milk annually, with a surplus available for processing and export. Our focus is on value addition, quality improvement and expanding export markets. I welcome them and wish them good luck.
@JanetMuseveni@AtwineMyra We praise God with you, Maama Janet. Your confirmation of His faithfulness strengthens our own faith. Thank you for your continuous example of devotion, and for letting us be part of your journey through prayer.
It's me, Janet Museveni. It is a confirmation that the God I talk about is a living God. He is not a myth, He lives!
I must therefore thank Uganda, beginning with Mzee, who has prayed with the whole nation. I praise God for leading us to know Him. Thank you all for coming out publicly to pray for me.
Thank you for all those continuous prayers and also for the kind birthday wishes. Thank you for letting me know just how much I am loved.
@KagutaMuseveni The fact that Maama re-entered your life just as you were regrouping after that disastrous attack shows God’s hand in the Resistance. Her subsequent work with UWESO and NRM politics in Ntungamo proves she was never just a spouse, but a co-architect of the movement.
Sitaane, 3 months ago, on the 21st of March, 2026, launched an attack on the life of Maama. However, sitaane miscalculated. The 21st of March is a good day for the Resistance. That is when we defeated the counter-attack of Idi Amin at Rugaando (12 miles from Mbarara) in 1979. God, using good doctors, saved Maama’s life and she is now recovering well.
Maama has done great things in the family, especially caring for the children during the 2nd phase of the Resistance between 1981 to 1986 when she was alone in exile and I was in the bush. She has been a great philanthropist with UWESO and she has contributed to the NRM politics in Ntungamo on top of her religious work.
I pray to God to get us to 100 years respectively so that we, among the other good things, see the birth of the East African Federation which is the Insurance of Africa against any future domination or marginalization.
Signed:
Yoweri K. Museveni
Omugurusi- Ampa.
I was now on the way to launch another effort of fighting Amin using the 100 rifles we had already infiltrated into Uganda and the hand grenades which Rwaheru and group used very effectively at Lubiri Quarter-Guard, Kyambogo house of mathematics teacher Karuhanga (Omuharabu) and saved me in Mbale, Maluku, House no. 49.
This is where God’s miracle came in. We had just parked in the Inter-Continental car-park, when I saw the Kazzoras, including Maama, entering their cars after they had had lunch at the hotel. I got out of our car and greeted them. Mr. Kazzora and his wife did not know me but Maama Janet and Maama Jennifer Kutesa, knew me from the Ntungamo- Kyamate days.
Without going into details, it is that accidental and miraculous re-connection that enabled me to have a family even when I was still in the risky life of exile and, the Resistance. Praised be the Lord.
It is that miraculous re-connection, that gave me a family of 4 great children and fifteen grandchildren and I am now threatening to have great grandchildren (Abaijukuriza).
From Omugurusi Ampa to Maama Giinga.
Today, the 24th of June is Maama’s birthday having arrived on Earth on this very day 78 years ago. The family and myself thank God for having given us Maama, kept her safe in the years of orphanhood having lost her Father, Mzee Edward Kataaha, in 1955 and prospering her in the subsequent years up to today.
In Particular, I thank God for the miraculous re-connection with her on Christmas day, 1972, outside the Inter-Continental Hotel in Nairobi. Although we were from the same area of Ntungamo and had studied at Kyamate together in 1958, we had got disconnected by the troubled history of Uganda.
Since January, 1971, we had been operating from Tanzania fighting Idi Amin. I had, indeed, been involved in the disastrous battle of the 17th of September, 1972 in Mbarara where out of 330 People that attacked on that axis, on account of not being trained, by evening I had managed to take back only 46 including an Obote fighter known as Ageta, a good but chaotic fighter.
Maama Janet, your spiritual influence has guided Uganda through prayer and intercession. You have taught us that when women rise and pray, nations are transformed . Happy 78th Birthday! #HappyBirthdayJanetMuseveni
Happy Birthday to our beloved First Lady! Your commitment to honoring teachers as "architects of our country's future" inspires us all. Thank you for your servant heart . #HappyBirthdayJanetMuseveni
Today, I campaigned in Kalangala in support of the NRM Woman MP candidate, Idah Nabayiga, and urged the people to vote for her so we can strengthen coordination and accelerate service delivery.
I assured them that Government will add two ferries on the Nakiwogo–Lutoboka and Bukakata–Kalangala routes, extend electricity, improve health and education services, and continue supporting wealth creation through palm oil, the Four-Acre Model and sustainable fishing.
