Join us 5/3 for a screening of 'Fracking the System' - from the front lines of climate justice activism in Colorado, exposing the lengths to which the government is complacent with industrial pollution.

#Boulder Recounts can change things - a bit - sometimes. In 2003 there was a recount for a down ballot issue but it knocked me down from 1st place, for 1/6 council seats, to second place by 24 votes -the only one who cared about that was my mom. I still got a council seat.
Last set of unofficial results have published: https://t.co/ja5gwi1HKd
We'll have an automatic recount for the City of Boulder council contest. That cannot take place til after certification, which is expected to occur Nov 28. Recount will likely be on Dec 5.
@ryanschuchard Xcel’s Electricity is only 42% Carbon free - they need to do better. We can start by supporting Community Choice Energy (CCE) so residents have a choice of their electrical fuel mix.

Yesterday, Coloradans urged #coleg to recommend policies in 2024 that match the scale of intertwined critical issues- our ozone air pollution levels and the climate crisis @TogetherCO@CleanAirMoms_CO@350Colorado @ConservationCO
Great explanation of Safe Zone for Kids - Boulder issue 302.

@GovofCO I hope other Governors @GavinNewsom will follow your lead and work to keep National Parks open in their states - Fed employees and local communities will feel the economic stress of this shutdown - including families and ordinary people who planned to enjoy ‘our public lands’.
“The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change says that global emissions of greenhouse gases must peak by 2025 and then decline 60% by 2035. If we are to take this assessment seriously, fracking has no place in Colorado after 2030."
Thank you for your endorsement!
@BikeBoulderBike@mitchellbyars Actually @PLANBoulder supports creating permanently affordable and home ownership for low-middle income and increasing the commercial building linkage fees, that funds these projects-which Better Boulder, the Chamber and Open Boulder did not support. Get your facts straight
@PLANBoulder 2/ @GovofCO Bill had no specific criteria for a huge entitlement. It should make all new density fossil fuel free and 50% permanently affordable. Also have homeownership program available to low to moderate income @SteveFenberg@domoreno@Junie4Colorado@rmnaacp @ConservationCO
@PLANBoulder Glad you posted the article- Polis’ land use bill did not leverage our State’s climate goals nor Affordable housing goals “The bill also did not have the support of the Rocky Mountain NAACP, which also advocates for climate action”. It counts on density to reduce emissions. 1/
@PLANBoulder This Bill could be more equitable if it leveraged Permanently Affordable Housing for low to middle income residents- if it required 50% of the newly entitled units for low to middle income residents that is a step forward for equity @SteveFenberg@jaredpolis@Junie4Colorado

@JudyAmabileHD49 Thank you Judy and the State House @Junie4Colorado - on to the Senate and I know Tom Sullivan will be honoring Alex @Sully_720@SteveFenberg and continue to strengthen gun laws
Today we launch Sully’s Action Fund because we need to amplify Gun Violence Prevention Champions in #CO.

@mitchellbyars Ok - you get the best tweet of the day - and you had a lot of competition with comments about the State of the Union and I don’t mean about JRB either!
