The rich, so-called "upper middle class" of India did not care when government schools, hospitals, etc went to the dogs. They did not care about bigotry or bulldozer. They sent their kids to fake "dummy" schools that skipped actual learning and prepared them for MCQ competitive exams like IITJEE and NEET instead.

But their kids do take the NEET and CBSE. Many fancy schools are still CBSE-affiliated, and only the ultra rich tier 1 city elites go to IB schools. ICSE too isn't too common outside the big cities with British legacy.

This is their Niemoller moment but they are too dumb to understand that they are responsible for this.

Read this story. Carefully.

CBSE called for OSM tenders thrice. Zero bids the first time. No qualified bidder the second time. And finally, the technical bar was lowered until COEMPT could clear it.

Scanning resolution cut. Robotic scanner requirement dropped. CMMI certification lowered from Level 5 to Level 3. Penalties for errors in answer sheets removed.

TCS, India’s biggest IT services company, qualified in the third round too. TCS lost. COEMPT - a company with a spectacular track record of failure - won.

And what are CBSE students complaining about today? Badly scanned answer sheets. Missing pages. A broken evaluation portal.

Teachers had warned CBSE that the OSM system needed at least a year or two for further preparation before nationwide implementation, yet it was rushed through.

So I ask again - who wanted COEMPT to win? Who lowered the bar, step by step, until this company could clear it?

Pradhan ji and CBSE say “due process was followed.” That is not an answer, that is not accountability. The question is whether the contract was honestly awarded to the best company which could do the job correctly.

The futures of 18.5 lakh children were handed to a company that could only qualify after the rules were bent for it.

To the BJP Ministers attacking me for asking questions - I have, from day one, demanded an independent judicial probe. Expand it from CBSE to every contract awarded to COEMPT. Our youth deserve the truth.

And Modi ji, your silence on the CBSE debacle and inaction against the Education Minister tells the country what you actually care about - not the futures of lakhs of students, only the survival of your own government.

Chennai holds virtually zero appeal for even for non-resident Tamils who grew up in major metros like Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, or overseas.

Having spent my formative years on the West Coast across Mumbai, Daman, Goa, and Gujarat which sensitised me to an urban, highly cosmopolitan lifestyle mindset. But transitioning to Chennai for university feels like hitting a cultural brick wall; the city comes across as incredibly homogeneous, insular, and flat-out boring.

The city completely lacks a distinct, independent youth culture.

Instead, the social fabric is entirely dominated by an older demographic, conservative boomers and culture kangers who fiercely enforce traditional norms. Tamils outside TN don't do such antics themselves.

Because the lifestyle is dictated by elder-approved routines, there is a massive deficit of casual public activities, vibrant nightlife, or engaging weekend avenues to build a high-quality, modern social life.

The economic landscape also mirrors this rigid, old-school mentality.

Chennai is highly rewarding if you are in the manufacturing or blue-collar sectors, but it is an incredibly difficult terrain for white-collar career growth.

The tech ecosystem is overwhelmingly dominated by massive, process-driven IT service companies with strict hierarchies.

Outside of a highly concentrated SaaS pocket, there is a severe deficit of aggressively funded, product-based tech companies or global R&D hubs, creating a definitive growth ceiling for ambitious professionals.

Over the time, the emigration of highly skilled educated graduates and professionals in TN to overseas or to other cities in India is only going to intensity. It already has started BTW.

And people in TN will still continue to remain the same and vote for people in TVK, DMK etc. Even the BJP in TN is the same as the other parties.
