@BolanosNancy@tom_karnes @JediTeacher08 R1: I think you bring up a great point about how sometimes, tech makes projects LESS fun! Sometimes ss need to get away from tech in order to create an amazing and interesting project!
A2: My favorite experience in school was Mr. Crowe's 10 Feet of Fun! It was a timeline we had to create, and ALL 10 feet had to be filled! Tech would have made it easier to create and it would have been more eco friendly! @teachsci8#CSUBTED#csubedte4200
Q2 Welcome to the second night of the CSUB slow twitter chat. Think about the question below and respond with a pithy tweet. Remember to include your instructor's handle and #CSUBTED and/or #csubedte4200
@JoannaG24609119 @doctor2pi @EddiesClass @Tech_Buddha@tom_karnes@Ststansberry@teachsci8@Duncannedd R2: I really like Kahoot too and think I will use it in the classroom! I think it's a fun way to review students for tests or to assess students' knowledge or retention on something you've taught!
@BelloBiridiana@doctor2pi@Duncannedd R1: I also really like the fact that Google Forms can be used to assess your students and know where they need help. I also love that it can grade for you instantly, thus freeing up your time to do other things like lesson plan!
@BorbaEthan@Ststansberry@teachsci8 R2: I had the chance to use Zoom and I vouch for it being a great way to communicate with colleagues! Although I couldn't make the meeting physically, I didn't have to miss out due to Zoom!
@Sarai17360287@Ststansberry@doctor2pi R1: I also love Google Drive! I love how it automatically saves your work or assignments and that it is eco friendly by allowing your class to go paperless!
@zachscpowell @teachsci8 @JediTeacher08 R2: I agree with you that a teacher needs to utilize software that monitors ss in order to ensure that they are doing their work, but ss also need to have an activity that is actually interested in order for them to want to work in class
@HeatherRayhill@teachsci8@Tech_Buddha R1: I really like the fact that Google Classroom and Google Docs allows for students to collaborate or ask each other questions "away" from the teacher, but still allows the teacher to monitor the students and their work!
@teachsci8 A4: Ts should have expectations for what their ss will be doing when using tech, and should introduce them to fun or easy tech, such as flipgrid or Google Classroom in order for students to become interested in their work. @teachsci#csubedte4200#CSUBTED
@Ststansberry A: Technology allows for communication to be not only simple, but quick. Due to this, teachers can connect to parents and students and other teachers easily in order to gain insight and become better, more involved teachers!
A: My favorite tool that I learned about and will use is Kahoots! It's great at reviewing/assessing kids while having fun! I would like to learn more about Google Classroom tho to make my class/grading paperless @teachsci8#CSUBTED#csubedte4200
A1: My fav tech tool is & always has been the good old Search Engine!!!
I was a hyper curious kid & now I am a hyper curious adult!! The Search Engine allows me to question everything, find answers, make connections, & keep questioning! #CSUBTED#csubedte4200#TeamBCSD
Hey Everybody! I'm Hannah and I am taking my foundational courses before starting the credential program in Fall! I hope to teach High School history! RN I sub all grades in Tehachapi! @teachsci8#CSUBTED#csubedte4200
@JediTeacher08 A: I would use LanSchool in my classroom, since I do like that it allows you to monitor all ss via one device. I also like that you don't have to stand up and stare at their screens, plus you can talk with them through it and blank screens too. #csubedte4200#csubted
@JoannaG24609119 @JediTeacher08 I like that ClassDojo not only keeps track of progress, but also keeps track of behavior. That way parents can see their ss academic AND behavioral performance, and therefore, work quicker with the teacher when needed! #csubedte4200#csubted
@sgaedeCSUB @JediTeacher08 I also didn't really like SharpClass because it just looked outdated! And ClassDojo seemed a lot more user friendly compared to SharpClass #csubedte4200 &#csubted

After High School Survey

I created this survey to figure out how many hs students know that they are going to go to college after they graduate.
