Y2 pupils thoroughly enjoyed their movie event after school. Whilst watching Toy Story 1 they indulged in some sweet treats like popcorn and biscuits! Money raised from the movie event will go towards the school's Hinterland experiences.
This group work is based on “Language Bag” intervention, with themed bags of toys. This is to develop oral language and play skills, and also to improve vocabulary levels in line with curriculum topics.
This week in maths the children have been learning their number bonds to five. They are able to use the party-part-whole method as well as using different objects to help find the number bonds to five, e.g. counters.

In Reception we have been working on our fine motor skills using play doh. We have been using the play doh to add different body parts on dinosaurs. Children have also been taking part in lots of different activites related to our dinosaur topic.

This term, Year 4 have been learning about Christianity in Humanities. They visited a Christian place of worship and look forward to visiting a church to ask questions to Reverend Matt Wall, Team Vicar at St Nicholas and All Saints Church.

Year 2 are learning about Christianity this term. They have learned about the Christian place of worship and are looking forward to visiting a church to experience first hand the features that are inside.

In Year 1 children learned about the differences of everyday materials and tested their suitability for a house for the Three Little Pigs. They predicted the best material and then built one using that material. They tested (against the force of wind) and compared results.

Reception went on their first school trip of the year to the Half Moon Theatre where they watched a play called Super Chefs. 🎭 They had lots of fun joining in the singing and the dancing. They also had the opportunity to taste some food from the play at the end. 🧑🍳 #theatre
