@ABCthedrum The scientist with over 10 yrs experience in the field was ineligible for recognition of prior experience as can be given to those with 'manual' trades. Which I assume was put in place as a financial incentive to teach.

@ABCthedrum It's interesting that the side issue if this is the salary of newly qualified teacher. How can you expect university train scientists training an extra year through a Dip Ed, then take on what can be a $20K salary cut to teach. It's truly vocational!
