On this day in 1983 I reopened the Tynemouth Lodge pub, having bought it in a state of semi-dereliction a few months prior to that. Marstons Pedigree was one of the ales on offer that day and is still on sale 38 years later. A superb real ale. Merry Christmas, Hughie 🍺🍺
