I’m humbled and proud to officially be your Democratic nominee for the U.S. Senate to take on Susan Collins and the billionaire class she represents. Together, we will win this seat back for working Mainers.
Thank you, Maine.
John Fetterman seems to genuinely think that the reason no one likes him is because he refuses to wear a suit.
It's not the hoodie, dude. It's because you've become a stooge for AIPAC and the Republican party.
These are serious accusations. They are also false.
Throughout this campaign, I’ve been open about a very dark period of my life, when I struggled with undiagnosed PTSD. I'm not proud of the man I once was, but I'm proud of the man I am today, and of the movement we've built.
I know a lot of people have reservations about voting for a billionaire.
I see the ways so many billionaires lie, cheat, and steal to get whatever they can out of the system — and then do everything they can to hoard their wealth and avoid paying taxes.
Screw that.
People, these PAC structures are deliberately confusing, so I don’t blame you for not understanding them, but look closer before you respond with such certainty.
“Elect Democratic Women” is a different PAC than EDW Action Fund. EDW Action Fund is the super PAC moving money to back Chan.
Simon has the backing of the former. Different things. Deliberately confusing. EDW does do work on behalf of women’s rights. EDW Action Fund does sometimes too.
lol- there are like two types of people in this thread:
1. Maga chuds who were never going to vote for this dude and are desperate to feign outrage about infidelity
2. Moderate Dems that are livid that this dude beat a 78 year old Janet Mills
Here’s my take on the Nazi tattoo because so many chuds have brought it up... and since I spent 6 years in the United States Air Force, I feel uniquely suited to talk about it:
Enlisted dudes in their teens and 20’s in the military are spectacularly stupid- I know this because when I joined at 18 I too was spectacularly stupid, and so were many of the dudes I personally worked with. So it was ZERO percent surprising when I heard that she got drunk and got a shitty tat.
There’s no evidence that he knew it was a Nazi tat when he got it.
* Did Platner eventually learn about what it was? Yeah.
* Should he have gotten a cover up on it earlier? Yeah.
* Did he eventually do the right thing? Yeah.
The current SecDef has an entire sleeve of shitty right wing tats who haven't covered them up, while espousing the worst shit imaginable.
So no- I don’t think Platner is some secret nazi, and yes I think Pete Hegseth is a white supremacist.
I look forward to reading your outraged comments.
Last night, news broke that a confirmed AIPAC front group established a new “pop-up” PAC called “Pro-Choice Majority Action” to flood a massive amount of last-minute cash in support of our opponent. By strategically launching this group on May 1st, they ensured their mandatory FEC disclosures wouldn't become public until weeks after the California primary. They want to keep voters in the dark until after their ballots are cast on June 2nd.
AIPAC wants to keep me out of the top two for a simple reason: Of the three leading candidates, I am the only one who named the genocide in Gaza and called for a full arms embargo on Israel from the start, and I have a decade-long record to prove it is not just talk. AIPAC has had me on their radar for years, because I co-founded Justice Democrats to help elect the leaders they fear most in Congress — including Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar, both of whom have proudly endorsed our campaign. AIPAC sees me as their biggest threat, so they will do whatever it takes to try to defeat me. And today, it seems I am the only major candidate in this race not backed by the Israel Lobby.
I’m running for Congress because I believe working people deserve good paying union jobs that allow them to get ahead and the wealthy should pay more in taxes. I believe in Medicare for All and abolishing ICE. And I believe America should stop spending trillions on endless wars and genocides and instead invest in healthcare, housing, and education at home.
As voters head to the polls this Tuesday, let’s send a strong message to AIPAC: stay the hell out of San Francisco.
And to my opponent benefiting from this spending: if you agree, call on Pro-Choice Majority Action to stop any further spending in this race and immediately release the identities of all of its donors.
NEW: @AIPAC has funneled hundreds of thousands to a network of PACs backing San Francisco Supervisor Connie Chan in her congressional bid. Story w/@JulianAndreone https://t.co/9qbglmQ5xa
@decadimitry@ryangrim 1. If the former happens, you’ll have every right to be bitter.
2. Part of why I support him over Chan is that I WANT to beat Scott more than I like him—Connie is the weaker candidate 1on1.
