@SimpleSudsNW@MackinacCenter So your plan is to keep moving the goal post in this discussion. Okay, power said equipment with ammonia. Or make the vessel powered by biodiesel or nuclear power or hydrogen manufactured by OTEC, storing the hydrogen in hydride form.
@SimpleSudsNW@MackinacCenter You really don’t get it. Buy what you want, keep shelling out money to buy gasoline. Meanwhile I’ll plug my electric car into the batteries that were charged from my solar panels. As for the $13 k car, Biden’s tariff makes it $26k. Kind of like they are afraid.
@SimpleSudsNW@MackinacCenter 2/ as for oil use, it will still go on, but it’s eventual decline will happen, not because we are going to pump the remaining 6.5 trillion barrels, but because battery technology will keep advancing along with alternative energy technologies.
@SimpleSudsNW@MackinacCenter The Chinese are producing new electric cars for $13,000. They are also producing Na-ion powered scooters that are selling in the places you mentioned.
As for “ “ saves” is irrelevant,” it is relevant to China given most their oil is imported. It becomes very relevant.

@SimpleSudsNW@MackinacCenter You are very black and white, either this or either that. Not certain what race has to do with this conversation. As for lumping all the people in Africa into one is a bit disingenuous given the number of countries, cultures, and levels of economic development.
@TossitRambles@jeffreytucker If one uses earth bag construction it is almost like they do. Or one has standing trees one can make lumber. Or build out of straw bale and mud.
@jamieclimate So they are going to drive corporations out of the state. The bill has zero affect on out of state companies given if they try to enforce it it violates the Constitution in regards to the interstate commerce clause.
