Reflective on demise of the Public Sector. Irritated by short term political thinking & profiteering. Retweets are not endorsements or confirmation of accuracy.
This is why senior police officers can not be trusted with conduct decisions. They will assess things though the lens of public opinion, not facts, not law, and not reasonableness. A chief officer would have sacked this officers, the LQC tore strips off the AA and the IOPC.
@PaulBrandITV Just adds to the corruption we see every day from our politicians.
So much in this country is broken or on its knees.
The rewarding in this way pours further distain society has for the political class. So out of touch.
May you reap what you sow.

@PFEW_HQ Is this an admission that the PFEW of the day got it badly wrong.
All serving and recently retired officers should be paying close attention to this.
Looking forward to #PFEW full response.
The @Conservatives are the worst in supporting the #police. They have cut so much since 2010. We have lost experience and police stations because of it. Our communities are now unsafe. Don’t be fooled by propaganda. The figures are being fiddled on a grand scale. Vote wisely.
@ukhomeoffice You are trying to put right the disastrous cuts to policing for the last 13 years. This no where near mends the horrific damage you have caused.
Instead, you are creating problems for the future with little to no vetting and no standards on recruitment.
#cutshaveconsequences
@DannyShawNews@ukhomeoffice All the connected tweets worth a read.
The real danger looking forward is the lowering of standards to meet the gvt funding deadline, the lack of vetting & ill advised appointments. This will bite us badly in future with corruption, incompetence and criminal behaviour. #police
@YvetteCooperMP Well said. My biggest concern is that we have & are losing most of the experience & rely on student officers for serious crime investigation without the framework to support them.
In addition, to meet deadline for gvt funding we accept ANYONE. Fool hardy & reckless for future.
Suella Braverman scared to defend Tory record
They cut 20,000 police. Yet they want applause for trying to patch up their own damage.
Arrests halved
Fewer police on beat
Record low charge rates
Record levels of criminals let off
Under Tories, criminals never had it so good
1970s Britain owned its water, transport, mail, energy, millions of council houses and sat on a huge North Sea reserve. The national debt was £80bn.
2022 Britain has no assets and a national debt of £2.5 trillion.
Neoliberalism started by Thatcher has destroyed the UK.
Some of the outfits I wear as a female detective, depending on the role I am doing. All completely suitable. Let's focus instead on the difficult role we have, leading complex investigative strategies on serious criminal cases, working long hrs and being dedicated to our job.
Did you know that the following people will NOT be privy to full details of complex investigations no matter how convincing they sound:
- Tiktokers
- Journalists
- Ex Police
- Serving Police ( if not involved )
- Your mate with strong opinions
- Psychics
- Your friends friend
@Conservatives Is this a parody? You cut 21,000 police officers, 23,000 police support staff, and closed 600 police stations.
You then started a mass recruitment drive to replace SOME of those lost, the result of that is an inexperienced work force.

@Conservatives Labour voted against increasing spending on policing!😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄
The Tories cut spending on police & police back up when they came to power in 2010 & closed thousands of polices stations. Then typically they try & blame other people for their actions!
@Conservatives No matter what Tories say truth is they cut
- 21500 police officers
- 23000 backroom staff
- lost hundreds of thousands of hours experience
- closed 600 police stations
- closed and sold 250 Courts
- then frantically tried to replace 20k police with inappropriate applications
@Conservatives The @Conservatives destroyed British Policing with your cuts and ideology. We are on our knees and may never get up again. How dare you!😡😡
@Conservatives 21k police officers, 23k police staff, 40% of PCSOs, 600 stations and 50% of courts cut by the the Tories in the last 13 years, remaing courts are logjammed and civil cases now take years to come to court. Years.
You do know you're in charge, right?
@vernalscott Hi Vernal, there are many issues but severe cuts from 2010 followed by recent recruitment drive is main problem. We lost a lot of experience and now have people vetting & delivering training who are out of their depth. I am still front line & sadly it’s a ticking time bomb.
@InspGadgetBlogs What is really outrageous is that CONNECT was rolled out to numerous forces before it came to the MET. It’s a disaster but still rolling out. If every force has had major difficulties it’s the system not the #police. Is this another @Conservatives procurement to a ‘friend’?
