This is why senior police officers can not be trusted with conduct decisions. They will assess things though the lens of public opinion, not facts, not law, and not reasonableness. A chief officer would have sacked this officers, the LQC tore strips off the AA and the IOPC.

@vernalscott Hi Vernal, there are many issues but severe cuts from 2010 followed by recent recruitment drive is main problem. We lost a lot of experience and now have people vetting & delivering training who are out of their depth. I am still front line & sadly it’s a ticking time bomb.

@InspGadgetBlogs What is really outrageous is that CONNECT was rolled out to numerous forces before it came to the MET. It’s a disaster but still rolling out. If every force has had major difficulties it’s the system not the #police. Is this another @Conservatives procurement to a ‘friend’?
