With Google AIO, it’s largely a superficial search with multiple brands often mentioned in the response.
With ChatGPT, it’s a deeper interaction, sometimes several queries in before the brand recommendation surfaces.
One definitely carries more weight than the other.
ChatGPT does not give a shit about DR or domain age.

If you publish the "Best X" listicle on your site and rank yourself #1, AI Overviews and AI Mode have begun to ignore it.
So just publish those listicles on 3rd party sites.
