@MechaMike5@BozoProzo That's the thing. Countries that actually have almost perfect conditions and incentives, like Switzerland, Norway, Finland, Sweden and Germany are no where near the replacement numbers, while countries without any incentives or conditions surpass replacement numbers.
@KilIaMessi@JDokes258552@LibertyCappy No, that's not middle class. By all statistics, upper middle class in US is up to $150k per individual. Above 200k per individual places that person in top 5% population.
@prieurdp Backing in a parking spot isn't hard and what road do those people block? Aren't you parking on a parking lot or in the garage? You know, places where speed limit is "walking pace" and where you have to stop for every pedestrian walking around like headless chicken?
@alleria_eh That's what BC has for some time (Citizens/PR's have a full plastic with coloured logo, temp residents paper/laminated) and it works just fine.
@MechaMike5@BozoProzo Well, no, to actually overpopulate the planet, every couple should have at least 3 kids. Replacement rate is 2.1 kids, so having just 2 is still not adding more to the population.
@CountSmakula@ScottyDo48@fromsoftserve Candy Crush? I don't think i ever played that. As for Marathon, the colour palette is just hard on my eyes. As a bonus, i really dislike the art style and i really don't enjoy the extraction shooter loop. Great for those who do like it.
@ScottyDo48@fromsoftserve The whole art style and colours are not a great combo for me. Every year reflexes get slower and glasses get thicker. Being 55 and gaming has it's own issues.
@goldsweatpants@Redacted216596@fromsoftserve Or doesn't like pvp games. I don't like pvp games. I don't hate Marathon, i just don't find the game loop interesting. Game is fine, just not my cup of tea.
@50PlusGamer1970 I guess if you are a Playstation user, yeah, those were interesting titles, some even great. But if they aren't coming to pc there isn't much to be interested in for me. For years, my backlog of games has it's own backlog, so i am good with what i have access to.
@JavedLSterritt I have no issues with the game itself or the protagonist. My only issue is the platform on which it is going to release. I am not buying a console to play it.
@Tokudjinn@100000000kills@SkyAsassino@trulyyblu They gave it a chance when they bought it. What Marathon fans seem to ignore is the genre. Extraction shooters are a niche in pvp market. Arc Raiders had a "lighting in a bottle" moment, mostly because it was more pve focused. Marathon is a good game for small audience.
@Tokudjinn@100000000kills@SkyAsassino@trulyyblu D2 sold 5 million copies in the first week and over 10 million in first 3 months. Also, D2 was a MMO (lite) with all the bells and whistles of an MMO (lite).
@qwerty12702@esjesjesj@sleepy_devo Even with all these examples, why wouldn't a parent make sure their kids have an id once they pass 14 years of age? That's something of a cultural thing where i come from. Even teachers start reminding kids that they should get their id's once they are 14.
@LinaLavendula I call bullshit. I bought Cyberpunk 2077 on GOG for less then it was (at the same time) on Steam, same as Pathfinder WOTR and Divinity OS saga. There are plenty of games that sell on better sales on GOG then Steam, and vice versa.
@voteconsequence@sadhorse4@esjesjesj@sleepy_devo But you need an id to vote in Canada. And you have to pay for that id, and go through the process of acquiring that id. How come Canadians (even recent immigrants) go and get their id's but Americans can't?
@esjesjesj@sleepy_devo How is it not a common thing to get an id once you passed a certain age? I moved from EU to Canada and got an id within my first week in Canada. I got my first id back in EU after my 14-th birthday. Do people in US really ignore that? How hard is it to get an actual id?
