@JimG_Patriots This is fringe; most kids/parents arent sprint/speed training on their own or paying for agility training. Fall XC in school is free & middle schoolβfrosh are running only 2 miles. Theres plenty time @ start of BB season to transition these kids to speed sprinting. Great combo
@JimG_Patriots Topic is encouraging young kids to run XC to get in shape for BB. In a game a good player will run same distance as a XC 5K. XC is great to get young kid in shape for BB. Both XC & Track Sprinting is ideal for HS age if they want to play most of the game & hustle on both O & D
If your HS coach isnt supportive of you and your highlights on Twitter, they are not being supportive of you behind the scenes or to potential college coaches & recruiters

@MsSmith_RIS @CoachWolfson Publicly suggesting parents have a need to post their kids scores because they think coaches are scouring the internet nightly to see them isnt humble advice. Its condescension, presumptiveness and cheap. If it were meant any other way, coach would have written differently
@CoachFrese Interesting, Ive actually seen expensive clubs have players participate in fundraisers & wondered what they are doing with the $$. It wasnt going toward offsetting cost of players to travel or participate. I think its turned into another revenue and profit stream for these clubs
@mar5hallhoops Wow! makes ya wonder if the 6 players were basically sharing two spots on the court & parents wanted to send message. Sadly, seen many coaches play 3 or 4 most of game every game & make everyone else share remaining spots. Not good for anyone. 8 players sharing time is ideal
@Nate_Frisbie Yes, refs should not pressure teams to start early. AAU Coach needs to say no, waiting on more players & if ref says ya have enough to start, ask you going to pay parents back who paid to play & for spectator fee. Or simply walk away & let team warmup without ya until game time
@DebraPritt2@CoachT_2 Usually mom or dad coachs kid plays guard at young ages cause they make their kid put in the time to practice dribbles out of necessity. Cant make someone else's kid practice on their own. However, by tweenage, if they arent best guard, people will simply leave for another team
@DebraPritt2@CoachT_2 Well guards can & often do rebound. When young usually kid that can dribble without having the ball repeatedly stollen & can pass plays guard. Sadly, taller kids dont usually put in the time to develop dribbling skills because they dont have to. Kids & Parents just want to score
@CoachHeifner Agreed, you see it a lot of this with the big clubs. Sadly, parents translate wins to success. Lots or pressure on clubs to win often to keep pipeline of players and $$ flowing for their numerous teams & to keep parents happy. Made worse with useless junk defenses to gain wins
@CoachT_2 Solid Point Guards have the position because of great court vision, good decision making, ability to execute a play, solid ball handling, passing and shooting ability and leadership skills. Can they all also play forward? Only the taller ones
@DelandMoshaw15@JimStevenson@laurenboebert People can spin this anyway they want, but the bottom line is that the people were fighting a repressive government and the founders recognizing this wanted to prevent this from happening again by keeping the people armed to keep the government in check
@laurenboebert I'm a supporter of law enforcement, but just because disarming the public will make your job easier, doesnt mean you should take away peoples rights. Im always amazed how many people are willing to take away other peoples freedoms and rights if it makes their job or life easier
Great seeing all of these committed high school programs participating in the June Live period. Feel bad for all the committed players who's school teams don't participate.
