@DLynchSport I do not see the word possession mentioned in the rules. Also Duggan was not fouled in the square so if the ref was awarding penalty it had to be under the black card penalty rules. Terrible, terrible decision.
@ballsdotie A disgraceful decision. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that if it had been Éibhear Quilligan he would have been given his marching orders.
@CraicOfTheAsh Trains booked out and soccer teams cancelling matches due to a clash with the All Ireland final. Joe is dead right, all the hype and arrogance cannot help.
@SmallerFishGAA Play the League in it's current form but play the Provincial Championships as knock out. The All Ireland series then would be 2 groups of 6 with 1st from each group in semis, 2nd & 3rd in QFs. If your team wins the League or Provincial they get a bonus point for the group stage.
@SmallerFishGAA A blood sub had to come on for Hogan and he received stitches to the back of his neck. How did this happen if Bennett "barely touched him on the back of the helmet"??
@vascoireland@IKop96 Exactly, I heard he received stitches to the back of his neck. Also Hogan was looking the other way when Bennett swung the hurley so his "dive" timing was impeccable.
@CraicOfTheAsh Hogan had to go off after this incident and a blood sub came on. I heard Hogan received stitches to the back of his neck due to the wild swing by Bennett.
@SportTG4@AnGhaeltacht@SallinsGAAClub@TG4TV What a terrible way to end a game, the GAA will need to tweak that rule. That's 2 great games that were ruined with very harsh decisions that ended up deciding the game.
