@Lutra_Gaming Part of the issue is that the scaling only goes one way: up.

Once you hit higher ranks, you no longer get light or medium mech missions, save for Solaris and arena missions. As such, there is no reason to use them and their lack of armor.

That lack of variety kind of kills it.

@LostLoreScholar They're great. Any time someone pulls them out I know the red flags I need to center my campaign on.

Scared of spiders? Giant spider nest.
Scard of the dark? Underdark adventure with no dark vision.
Don't want your character to die? Spike trap triggered by healing potion.
