@McDonalds yall better check in on your location on Willow and nees in Clovis, CA. They either make my order wrong or I’m missing items from my order. This makes me not want to go back to McDonald’s for a very long time.
@McDonalds yall need to check in on the McDonald’s on nees and Willow in Clovis, CA. It is a rare occasion that they don’t mess up my order. Between forgetting some of my items on the regular and making multiple order wrong, I may not be getting McDonald’s for a very long time.
Things Hitler did-
1. Threw parades for himself.
2. Made people cheer for him.
3. Took kids from their mothers.
4. Rounded up humans.
5. Spread lies and propaganda.
6. Only wanted to hear news that flattered him.
7. Built monuments for himself like a Triumphful Arch.
8. Controlled the media.
But Trump is nothing like that, right?
Can’t afford gas? Drive less.
Can’t afford groceries? Skip a meal.
Can’t afford healthcare? Don’t get sick.
Can’t afford rent? Move somewhere cheaper.
Can’t afford childcare? Should’ve kept your legs closed.
Can’t afford your prescriptions? Stop taking them.
Can’t afford your electric bill? Turn off the heat.
Can’t afford to live? Work three jobs.
The Republican plan for struggling Americans.
“Can I bring my baby to the interview?”
The message came in at 11 PM:
“Hi, I have an interview with you tomorrow at 2 PM. My childcare fell through. Can I bring my 8-month-old? I understand if you need to reschedule.”
Old me would have rescheduled.
Unprofessional. Distraction. Red flag.
New me replied:
“Absolutely. See you tomorrow.”
She showed up with her baby on her hip.
She apologized three times before even sitting down.
Ten minutes in, the baby started crying.
She tried to soothe him while answering questions.
She apologized again.
I stopped the interview and said:
“Hey. You’re managing a fussy baby, answering complex questions, and staying calm under pressure. That’s literally the job. Handling chaos while staying professional. You’re already proving you can do it.”
Her eyes filled with tears.
We hired her.
She’s been with us for a year now.
The most reliable team member we have.
Why?
Because when you’re used to handling a screaming infant at 3 AM and still showing up to work the next day, workplace stress feels like nothing.
Working parents, especially mothers, are some of the most organized, efficient, and resilient people you’ll ever hire.
Yet we lose them because our hiring processes are built for people with zero caregiving responsibilities.
If your interview process can’t accommodate a parent facing a childcare issue, you’re not filtering for professionalism.
You’re filtering for privilege.
I normally never have the best birthdays, but my birthday this year sucked. I felt like the most forgotten person by a lot of friends and family. And I got harassed at work and management is not doing anything. I ended my birthday by crying in bed.
