@JudiciaIreview @SkyNews That’s your right to do so but have you read more than just the Sky report to understand the sentence? Single punch manslaughter has a starting point of 2 years on the sentencing guidelines which the judge is bound to sentence by law.
It’s a tragic case & sympathy to the family.

The SI achieved in the deal (coming into force in a month) applies to all backlog cases where the main hearing is after the S.I in force (early Nov). The modelling of additional spend of the Moj is £28 million.May be more

Am confused. Have looked on line at the SI on Criminal legal aid re 15% on new work & it’s in force.
Does anyone know why @TheCriminalBar terms of offer makes it look 15% is somehow new? It’s already in the bag.
So it’s really 15% on pre SI cases and bolt ons? @BarristerSecret ?
