dont wanna be pedantic and pessimistic.

but, there are 8 billion people in this world, around 0.5% do tech, and maybe 0.05% does infosec, and maybe 0.000005% will remember through your OSS tool or a disclosed bug for just a few years. and after that you are no one.

so the point is: no one’s gonna remember you. do whatever shit you want. earn money, write tools, disclose bugs, if not, it’s okay. It doesn’t matter.

if we are picking a remembering game or achievements game you are in for some depression.
