Finally recovered enough to post this. Last Sunday I somehow survived the first half marathon ever with the best coach, my brother. No idea how I could ever run this far, but the sense of achievement was something special. Running is here to stay a little bit longer in my life!
It has been a great honor to participate and present at EMI 2022 as a first year PhD student of the @CarstensenGroup . I left the conference filled to the brim with ideas and inspirations after interacting with so many great minds in the world. Looking forward to what’s to come!
Matching the current weather with a stab at New England clam chowder with (store bought unfortunately) rye sourdough bread. So comforting and warms you right up! https://t.co/7B770iknf6
Cantonese black pepper beef and oyster sauce with Chinese spinach soup with dried shrimp and wood ear mushroom. The pepper hit was full on but it felt so good and left you wanting another bite. And another. https://t.co/p3ibZ1lW0x
Steamed mussels with white wine bacon chili thyme and stir fried green beans. Store bought sourdough though, sorry to my starter sleeping in the fridge! https://t.co/dtDeP30b0i
Oxtail, brisket and beef balls pho. Or at least somewhat took care of the sudden craving since this paste kind of ended up looking like Hue beef noodle soup 🤣. The broth and meat were great though! https://t.co/bc8ZFmnAI1
Korean kimchi stew sundubu jjigae. Made it right this time using the silken tofu - really brought the dish together. Ran out of eggs to finish on top though. https://t.co/x9DRqydHr1
Thai green chicken curry with homemade paste. Goes real well with boiled okra. 1.5 hour of pounding the paste on the pestle & mortar was certainly worth it! https://t.co/BiBIreKCmx
One of the best weekends that I have had in my life without a doubt, graduating from Northwestern University. I have been incredibly blessed to be supported by my family, friends, mentors, and professors and make it this far. Thank you so much everyone! Next stop: MIT!
