Living with metastatic breast cancer since January 2023. Back on here after a rather large break. Deleted old account so hoping to find some friends from before
@allisonoconn@PTarantinoMD I have ILC. It took a long time to diagnose as I did not have a primary cancer. 3.5 years on, still not. Sneakily it took up residence in my bones and liver.
@FondOfBeetles 3 years ago I thought I’d be dead within a month & wanted my partner to be secure. I called the Registry Office, booked a civil partnership for 28 days’ time. They said if things got dire they would come to us at any time. The day arrived. We were in and out in 7 minutes.
I created a new account last year but am now less active on here. I’m a 60+ woman with stage 4 cancer & yet 4 of my 5 followers don’t seem appropriate.
@millihill@ForWomenScot I noticed that and thought it was odd. He seemed to labour the point rather too much especially as you gave an entirely relevant answer.
@JournalistJill@BBCWomansHour I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I thought it was satire at first but realised that no, the powers that be had thought this was perfectly reasonable. Ffs
@AlisonMoyet My partner has a surname beginning with ‘s’, mine (f) beginning with ‘d’. The mortgage company always puts him first in any correspondence. I asked why but got no reply.
@DeanEggitt Great if you can see your GP. I only got to see a nurse who was strangely confident I had gallstones. A&E twice - sent home until my persistence and pain meant they had to try and diagnose. There followed three months to diagnose a stage 4 something.
