Back to back @KSSLsoccer U16B Premier Division Champions @Bluegrass_SC 03 boys completed one more training session at Falling Springs, ready to take next challenges at @KYYouthSoccer State Cup tomorrow
With this great Derby day win, 03 improved their overall record in the past 4 years against LFC 03 Red to 4 wins-2 ties-0 losses! Next challenge LFC White at the State Cup. Go Bluegrass!
@GauchosARG Unforced turnovers and over-dribbles: how do you train to correct them? Player would say to me that he had no options, the truth is he did not scan before receiving the ball, too late to act, those options were gone. Group did Rondos, positional Rondos well perform well in game
@Bluegrass_SC 03 Boys lost a tough KPL game to @KYFireJrs 03 Red today. Missed a few good chances despite total domination of possession in 2nd half. A good team goal: 1-2 between Alex and Jonathan, counter-pressing led by Gio, 1-2 assist from Dylan to Jonathan's finish.
@GauchosARG 2-3 hours a session? How old are the players? Can they concentrate that long? Do parents complain? I got U15-U16 parents complain when my session went over 10-15 min beyond planned 1 hour 45 min.
@coachdogge What if opposing RM just stay and keep the shape? LB with the ball is now functioning as a CB. Once the ball is passed to LCM, then press using help from sideline.
@GauchosARG Could you send it to me as well? I have been using "drills", not opposed shadow plays etc. intuitively for some time now. Research would help.
@cristoforoUK Most youth 4-2-3-1 teams play 6-3-1 actually. Two outside backs are not high and wide enough, winger has to drop back to provide width. When the ball is lost, winger has to track back to defend width.
@spielvercom@georgejjones Do you have any advice for a 3-5-2 mid-block pressing scheme against a typical 4-2-3-1 team? This is for U16 boys league. Thanks.
@_ToddBeane@GauchosARG Both are valid, depending context of training. Here is Bielsa's presentation on how to loose your maker, 2-3 players. https://t.co/LwmMWUIxhf
