We're happy to have kicked off our first tournament of the year with the Sunshine State Series Part 1 virtual tournament! Great job to everyone who competed, we can't wait to see how the team improves as we continue the season!

Thanks to everyone who attended our high school tournament this past weekend. We had a blast! Because we had such a fun time reminiscing on our high school experiences, we thought we’d give you all a throw back to our team’s high school years! Congrats all!

On Saturdays we wear suits! Thanks to Ohio University for a Mean Girls inspired, rollercoaster of a tournament. Highlights included JohnJack’s persuasion final, Jon Clark’s second place finish in Impromptu, and Sidney’s quick quips on the four hour bus rides. Congrats to all!

Another great weekend for the Butler University speech and debate team! Highlights include a close-out between Gaby and Audrey, Crawford doing a bottle flip, and lots of car ride debates. Thank you Otterbein University for hosting this weekend!

What an exciting first tournament! Three debate novices breaking IPDA, Gaby Seleps winning top speaker, and Abby Kurek’s first break?! Not to mention Butler taking home the gold in combined team sweeps!? If this is the start of the season, we can’t imagine the finish!

Happy end of the year! Our team celebrated with our yearly picnic. Breaking news: Eva and Kiana were named our team captains, JohnJack our Vice President, and Abby President for next year. We are thankful for a fun team and a fun year! Stay tuned next year, it’ll be a crazy ride.
