I will add that the X bot @AmericanAir deployed makes issues sting more, not less and should be completely scrapped. It is known as patronizing and ultimately unhelpful.
Unfortunately the airline is the weakest link in Dallas’s growth and threatens to upend a remarkable boom.
@AmericanAir announced a plan to attract premium customers. It will fail. Focus on lounges and more international business class seats are important, but mean nothing against poor operations that lead to:
1) Consistently delayed or cancelled flights
2) Inconsistent communications that lead customers to feel taken advantage of
3) A company culture that visibly has no commitment to the brand.
My personal scorecard is indicative with 11 of my last 12 flights having some schedule disruption, WiFi out on 3 of 12, and full cancellation on 2 with one offering a flight a full 3 days after scheduled arrival.
More significant than my personal experience is that of the enterprise I run and those for which I am on the board. Each enterprise is actively seeking alternatives to include other carriers and private options more often. United is seen as marginally better and Delta measures significantly better. As such corporate HQ decisions are taking AA operations into consideration and looking at ATL, SLC, and non-hubs where carriers compete more, especially in smaller southern airports.
@nationalcares Let’s paraphrase the reply in public @nationalcares: Sudden events can make our predictions incorrect and the risk is on you the consumer. We take no responsibility and don’t value your business enough to call back. @Avis, care to pick up a large group of travelers?
You know how to take the reservation. You just don’t know how to hold the reservation. @nationalcares after telling me 2x you would call me back I’m giving up on you.
@MarriottIntl & @SonderStays, your failed business agreement should not negatively impact your customers. Time for Marriott to grow up and pay up for their failed business dealings! Trying to make everyone rebook their stays at a higher rate! This is ridiculous!
@MarriottBonvoy I have never had a worse experience with a hotel. We booked with a Marriott affiliate sonder months ago. Was actually in Rome 3 days into our stay and they email us and kick us out of the sonder place without any warning. So here we are trying to reserve a room
Thanks for your reply. I’ve been staying in the property for 2 weeks, prepaid through Marriott. I was just told to vacate mid-stay tomorrow due to Marriott ending its Sonder partnership. No rebooking or refund has been confirmed.
Please escalate to someone who can secure comparable accommodation tonight or confirm full reimbursement + compensation.
@anthonyzenkus You are a contemptible person. You can justify the twist of your words any way you want. This is an awful example of your moral bankruptcy.
@SenSchumer While you take a hard pass on addressing anti-semitism in the US. Save your hollow words, pass the act, and meet with Jewish students impacted on campus.
@united@Delta@AmericanAir@united and @Delta unfortunately X has made your replies difficult for me to access. Please reply again to discuss your options.
