@Allan_author_SF Prt 2: The project manager gave me a pile of work and I went back to my work space. By 5pm, I handed it back to her, finished. She was stunned. She considered at least a week's worth of work. Instead of being praised, I was told NEVER do that again. Wrote my 1st novel on that job
@Allan_author_SF Yes, Once, on one of my between things. I don't remember between what and what, but I was in Cleveland, and my Dad got me a job as a jobber for a project a client of his company had. The M.A.D. division of a major Cleveland bank.
@jeenforcers Today a 14 year old is a kid, because we treat them as children until they're 26 (and sometimes beyond). Back in the day, a 14 year old had responsibility - not all - but then again, not everyone in our day is able to start a family at 20, or even 30.
@geostylegeo @HEJoyce1 Your question is based on the assumption that the universe can be deciphered. To decode something assumes that it has been encoded. This assumption is a philosophical position. Suggesting mathematics as the means for deciphering it, also has that assumption built in.
@LeilaniGraceffa I slaughter goats all the time. Great meat. lean, almost like deer, but less gamey. Ilike it better than beef but not as much as lamb/sheep meat.
