BUY THIS! Along with my own contribution, many really well written musings, all timeless in an age where we are yet to see an education secretary with QTS or any real experience of the daily demands of the job. https://t.co/dMGCUE461l
@Strickomaster Great stuff, Sam. Large SAT of just over 2000 here & many, many plates. Luckily we have Co-Heads - no less exhausting but less 'lonely' wrt decisions.
@RealBobMortimer - read this interview yesterday. You read any of @david_mitchell 's (also a Murakami fan/Murakami an influence) novels? If not, start with Ghostwritten or Cloud Atlas. Bone Clocks also highly recommended & if you want some 80s nostalgia, Black Swan Green. Any!
@ArianeSherine Lots of good memories of Forest Gate flooding back reading this - my grandad lived on Odessa Road in E7 until his death in 2010. Growing up in the (very white British) North East, visiting in the late 80s, 90s & 2000s always felt very diverse - loved it!
Secondary Senior Leaders of schools that've recently been rebuilt: what would you do differently if you could go back to pre-rebuild stage? Still in feasibility stage, any other advice appreciated - thank you!
@Framheadteacher Exactly. Hoped it might shed some light on the link between tech & human behaviour, applicable in a school context. Cheers, Andy. 👍
@Framheadteacher Does it touch on impact of tech on boredom at all? i.e. phones disallowed at social times leading to increase in beh issues? Oft described as a post-pandemic issue but I do believe addiction to phones/tech plays its part. Simply holding a conv - attention span no longer enough?
