Many people avoid conflict and run at the first sign of a "red flag" or disagreement. They convince themselves they had it "good" before and that life was more "safe" then. When in reality, their lives were just tidy. They're control freaks who struggle to adjust to lifes messes.
Beating my codependency and social anxiety issues due to being forced to be isolated wasn't on my bingo card, but I'm grateful to learn that I don't have to have company to enjoy things anymore. Maybe riding solo really is my destiny.
The best part about being laid off for the past few months has been realizing I have no issue doing things alone. I've eaten dozens of lunches and dinners by myself, gone to the movies a couple of times, and just drove to Cincinnati, watched the Reds, then drove back solo.
