@zoekennedy @insanegamerz911 @Pointluck1@41762ppm@volcaholic1@alexaamy The emergency warnings to our phones came at just after 8pm, 2 hours after some towns were inundated. However there was a red weather alert for the whole day and schools etc were closed for the day
@MrMatthewTodd It is not random. It is a known meterological event here in Spain. But this one was worse and hit areas where the infrastructure was insufficient to cope with the volume of water. The next one, or the next one after that, will be worse still.
@BremainInSpain@ZoeJardiniere Agreed, but it is a pity that it is so difficult to obtain a visa allowing work, and that self-employment is so expensive. There is little possibility for small-scale enterprises eg hobbyists. Still a better life than in the UK though!
Flooding is hitting >every continent in the world< hard.
Can this be the moment, the majority gets it: If we don’t deal with this thing, it’s going to be the end of us.

If YOU get it now, and want to be part of this huge wake-up call, please RT.
Thanks!
@StanCollymore Cycling is odd to watch until you understand the team strategies and tactics, then it can be absorbing. I usually limit myself to watching the last 30km of a stage otherwise it is too much!
@Brian_Tibbels@acgrayling@AVCrabtree It took me about 50 years before I voted for a successful candidate too! Bring on PR! In the meantime I will play the system and vote tactically.
