@CityBlue74@Scott_Pert Spot on mate - we true fans never forget where we came from and the agony of the 1980s/90s and latter part of the 70s
I hope we didn’t cheat - but I will be there and support my club until I die, no matter what..
@Mnemosynone@BlueWolf_09 So sad the bitterness and jealousy on display ! Never mind - what will be will be, but do you not think from a common sense point of view, if City were guilty all this would be over by now or the press would have started signalling that City have been found guilty…..
@elltells79@MaybePod@NOELY1982 Personally, it was the season I realised how far we had fallen from the start of the 80s . Very sad realisation it would take a while to get back to old City.. Cambridge and Carlisle at home in April and last game of season were happy days. 5-0 and 3-1…
@elltells79@MaybePod@NOELY1982 83/84 we were going well until crashing 5-0 at Newcastle in late Autumn and shortly after 1-2 at home to Wednesday . I always had the feeling that year we were a bit adrift of those two and Chelsea.. too many defeats against new teams we hadn’t played in years… Cardiff city !
@CityRabid@PG_MCI That is arguable - some of your listed clubs don’t surpass our history
Time will tell on the cheating argument. I don’t believe we have systematically cheated and will in all probability be found not guilty of the majority of charges, bar the non co operation items
@CityRabid@PG_MCI Not at all. They are a respected, decorated English club left behind by the modern, money grabbing game
It’s all about perspective. Nobody can sensibly argue that City are not part of the history of English football, with a big fan base and rich history
@CityRabid@PG_MCI It’s all about longevity old boy ! Sadly Clapham Rovers fell a bit short….
Curiously - city first English club to win a domestic and European cup in same year - 1970
@addy2468S@StevenMcinerney No websites. A member of the legal profession whose network includes those close to the case.
There are no media or two bob pundits calling City out as guilty !
As you say, time will tell
@addy2468S@StevenMcinerney Just want it resolved now
A strong rumour circulating is that City largely found not guilty - punishment a fine for non cooperation charges and 3 point deduction that City are challenging
@addy2468S@StevenMcinerney We are not worried at all about the outcome. If we were found guilty, a) it would have been announced officially by now and b) to be guilty of fraud and financial mal administration would require many financial services firms such as auditors and accountants to lie for years.
@kieranbeardmore Too bloody right son. Losing league games at Lincoln, Grimsby, York. Crisis to crisis with absolute puddings like Lee Bradbury, Trevor Christie and Micheal Fronzeck.
Bankrupt and selling any players of value to survive.
True fans who know the clubs DNA and history will understan
@DanisMCFC Totally agree - the man is a major step up from Ederson as a keeper. I want us to have a top
Keeper rather than a ball playing hero who is both error prone and just gives up on occasion
